Poppy Nwosu is an author of young adult fiction.  
Her debut novel, Making Friends with Alice Dyson, was shortlisted for the 2018 Adelaide festival Unpublished Manuscript Award, and the Readings Young Adult Book Prize 2019. It was released in the USA in 2020.

Poppy's second novel, Taking Down Evelyn Tait, was published in April 2020.
Poppy was awarded the 2019 SA Writers Fellowship residency at Varuna Writers House, a 2020 Arts SA grant for a manuscript in progress, and is curating a Wakefield Press YA anthology titled Hometown Haunts: #LoveOzYA Horror Tales (supported by an Australia Council for the Arts grant), to be published October 2021.

Growing up surrounded by cane fields and rainforest, Poppy studied music at university before living overseas in Ireland. She is now based in Adelaide, Australia.
