I don't really know how to write an author bio. They probably do need to match your personality and fit you and your work specifically, but also they need to change depending on what they are being used for.
And while I was researching how to do this, I came across some tips, that I have added into this post.
So I guess this post is a little more instructional and about what I learned on my own journey, instead of being a behind the scenes look.
Turns out it is time consuming to have a book one month away from release date. While also working full time. And trying to keep writing new fiction because I just go CRAZY if I feel like I’ve made no progress on my other stories. I really don’t like not working on anything, but at the moment I’m finding it so hard to fit it all in! Which I guess is not really that surprising! :)
This is the post I've been most excited about writing in this series, because I have lots of cool behind the scenes drafts and stuff to share!
To start with, my question was - Do authors get to choose their own book covers?
The answer to that is no. Mostly. Usually.
Authors don't usually get a lot of input at all into stuff like that. And that of course makes sense, because it is really a marketing decision, and therefore is managed by professionals in that field.
However, I am very excited to say my story is a little different.
