So anyway, while sitting around all day and listening to established authors speak, I feel like I learned a lot of stuff. And because it is within my nature to forget said 'stuff' if it doesn't get written down, I thought I would document my findings here for future reference.

Sometimes I think life’s greatest lessons have all been reduced to cheesy little sound-bites, destined to lose their true meaning through overuse.
I have realised lately there is truth behind these cheese-filled sayings, and if a little effort is put into actually thinking about their meaning instead of immediately dismissing them, a lot of value can be found behind the words.
For instance, as a writer, I think the following super boring and cheesy saying is actually pretty damn important:
‘It’s the journey. Not the destination.’
